Goals During and After Disasters

Prepare 2019

You can’t turn on the television without seeing a disaster somewhere in the world, let alone in our own country.  Emergency Management Agencies or EMAs have a very specific list regarding the order of action and attention during and after large-scale emergencies.

We hope that having this list of goals will help our residents understand more about the response and recovery efforts EMAs assist with after those emergencies.

Calling 911 Informational Flyer

Our partners in Benton County have partnered with their Central Dispatch to create this Open Use flyer about what to say if you need to call 911.  Many people are scared to do so and in an effort to help the public, the BC MO EM has released the flyer.

Public 911 info sheet

You can find their article on the project here.  We want to thank them for their efforts and for making this flyer open use so anyone and everyone can print/post/use it for educational purposes!

Launching Our New Website!

Hello, everyone!

It gives us great pleasure to announce the official launch of our website!  We are striving to bring more information to the public about what the EMA is, what we do, and how we help first responders and others keep the public safe!

Over the next few months, you will see the site grow!  We plan to provide you with weather preparedness and safety tips, identity safety tips, events going on in our county, and more!

Our Emergency Management Director, Dennis Jacobs, will be able to talk to you using this blog.  He is very active in the community and is looking forward to interacting with you!
